Benedict Cumberbatch Ruled Tumblr This Year

The world suddenly can't get enough of Benedict Cumberbatch – but the digital world already knew that.

The charming star of The Imitation Game was crowned Tumblr's "Most reblogged actor of 2014" on Tuesday, which should come as no surprise to anyone who has seen the many hilarious Cumberbatch Memes floating around on the Internet. (Or has seen the amazing video about how he can't properly pronounce "penguins.")

So the Sherlock star did what any Web sensation would do: He posted a video online to thank the Tumblr-nation for the honor.

Apparently, it's not even the first time he's been the most blogged about actor. The newly engaged Cumberbatch was also the most blogged about celeb in 2013.

"I didn't even know about last year, I feel a bit embarrassed about that," he says in the video above. "Thank you very much. It's a great honor."
