se non lo avete ancora fatto, firmate la petizione per fermare questo schifo e diffondete la notizia! Non servirà a niente ma provarci non costa nulla! vi avverto però che le immagini, basta googlare o andare su un qualsiasi social network, sono forti <-

articolo sul telegraph per Amanda : Sherlock's Amanda Abbington: 'actors need to remember how lucky they are'

Amanda Abbington, 41, is best known for playing Mary Morstan in the BBC’s Sherlock and Miss Mardle in the ITV period drama Mr Selfridge, and is will star in the BBC One series Cuffs this autumn. She lives in Potters Bar, Hertfordshire, with her husband, the actor Martin Freeman (Sherlock’s Dr Watson), and their children, Grace, seven, and Joe, 10.
Routine In term time we’re up at 7am to get the kids ready for school. I then make myself go to the gym and pool for about an hour, before coming home and having poached eggs, avocado and tomatoes for breakfast. After taking the dogs for a long walk in the woods, I’ll either go to work on set, into London for voiceovers, or read scripts and write at home. When the kids finish school we get some exercise before dinner, then play games with them. They’re really into draughts at the moment, and we’ve started showing them Hammer horror films. Once they’re in bed, Martin and I get some time alone to watch a box set.

Clairvoyance I’m very into astrology and the supernatural. Martin thinks I’m a nutter, but I like the idea of there being something else. When I was 16 on holiday in Devon I saved up to buy this amethyst, which is my birth stone. It’s stayed with me ever since; having it makes me feel safe. I’m also very superstitious, though I did once almost get run over when avoiding walking under a ladder. People must think I’m insane.

Abbington's #15secondshakespeare entry this week, filmed with one of her dogs (vedetevelo, è bellissimo! :XD: e recuperatevi quelli degli altri attori )

Animal rights Conservation is a huge part of my life. I get so angry at stupid, ignorant people with guns killing animals for their own enjoyment. I picked it up from my mum, who would always defend animals whenever she saw them being mistreated. Cecil the Lion’s death upset me a lot. I don’t understand the mentality of trophy hunters. Soon there will be nothing left, which is truly terrifying. These people should just buy a Ferrari if they want to feel like alpha males.

Painting When I joined Sherlock I was greatly taken by a painting of a skull on the wall of his flat. It turned out that a friend of mine who makes props, John Pinkerton, had created the original. I told him how much I liked it, and he kindly did one for me. It’s now quite an iconic thing to have, for Sherlock aficionados. I’ve always loved skulls. We have a few knocking around the house, including one of a coyote in Joe’s room. I want a human skull, but Martin won’t let me.
First-night gift My late drama teacher, John Gardiner, was a wonderful man and a mentor to me. He was like Bill Nighy or Julie Walters – someone you looked up to and wanted to like you. In my final years at drama school I took my first dip into fringe theatre in London with a play called Tin Soldiers. On the opening night John sent me these figurines with a good-luck note. It’s Laurel and Hardy – who I adore – as little toy soldiers.

Teacup I’ve recently started collecting china teacups and teapots. I don’t use them, but just keep them in a cabinet. I’m a bit of a magpie. Whenever I’m in an antiques shop I am drawn to shiny things.
Sherlock I’ve just finished doing Cuffs, a BBC police drama set in Brighton, and am filming my last series of Mr Selfridge at the moment. Then in February we start shooting the fourth lot of Sherlock. I’m sworn to secrecy, but the story arc is brilliant. Before that there’s a Christmas special set in the Victorian era. It was so much fun to film, and felt like a real caper. Everything becomes clear as to why we’re in Victorian dress, but it still follows the path left by the third series.
Professionalism I love working with Martin. He’s one of my favourite actors. I’d work with him every day of the week if I could. We met on a job 15 years ago. He is so professional, and knows his lines better than anyone. I’ve worked with some real nightmares: actors who haven’t read their lines, turn up late and demand things. I cannot stand that privileged attitude. They need to remember that there are hundreds of people who would love to do their job.

Wedding photo This photograph shows my whole family on my parents’ wedding day in the mid-1960s. I’m an only child, so this is about the size of it. They’re all gone now, apart from Mum and Dad. I was very close to my grandparents and still am to my parents, who live three miles down the road. We’re a tiny unit, while Martin’s family is colossal. He’s one of five, and has cousins he hasn’t even met.
Beethoven bust I’ve had a thing about Beethoven since I was little. My dad was a Mod and introduced me to all sorts of music – the Beatles and Small Faces – but he once sat me down and put Ode to Joy on. I thought it was amazing, and later fell in love with Beethoven’s story. My grandmother found this bust at a jumble sale when I was nine. She wouldn’t give it to me, but when she died she left me a bag of things I liked as a child, including this. It’s cheap but the sentimental value is huge.

Prized pottery Martin’s family is very artistic and, though he won’t admit it, he is great at drawing. Grace has picked up that bug. She’s constantly making things at school, including these lovely clay bunnies. People visit and think they’re abstract pieces from a gallery, which can only be a good thing. Joe’s more into Lego, but does lots of drama too. He just won a cup. We keep it next to Martin’s Bafta.
Clapperboards It’s very hard to get a clapperboard from a TV set, since they’re apparently quite expensive. I’ve got these, from my first major series, a BBC drama called Plotlands from 1996, and one from Mr Selfridge. On the Mr Selfridge set I would ask at the end of every take if I could keep it, which became a running joke. Eventually they relented under severe duress.
